Born: 14th December 1947 in Berlin, Germany
Profession: Owner of a cables and electronic wires distribution company
Involved in athletics since 1961, first as a junior sprinter and later as an instructor and coach. Besides the coaching also various early voluntary engagements in athletics, e.g. from 1979-1997 head of athletics at the SCC Berlin Sports Club. During this time heavily involved in event organisation.
From 1997-2000 head of the LG NIKE Berlin Sports Club and from 1999-2004 President of the Berlin Athletics Federation.
Since 1999 stronger involvement in professional management consultancy.
Since 2017 accredited athletes’ representative at World Athletics and the German Athletic Federation.
